I realize that I promised my site would only be under construction for a couple of days and it’s actually been almost a WEEK! I sincerely apologize to my loyal readers but I have been busy making this site better for YOU! This is what I have been doing:
Last week I stumbled upon a site called The Health Blog Helper. It’s an incredibly informative site and I immediately emailed Matt, the blogger behind the site. He seemed to have tons of knowledge and I wanted to know how to make my site better! He was SO helpful!! He not only immediately emailed me back but he then sent me a LONG list of helpful tips and I signed up for his 7 Tips New Health Bloggers Make. If you are a new health blogger…SIGN UP!! He encouraged me to switch to a new hosting site called WordPress and become self-hosted. With that entailed a week LONG journey of learning. I have been filling my brain with information about new features and how the heck to construct a site from scratch. I basically lost EVERYTHING from my old blog but was able to save most of my recipes and health tips. Thank goodness. The only problem is, they are not in any kind of chronological order, so please keep that in mind.
I just want to thank Matt for his help! I would not have had the courage to take this step without his advice! Oh! and he recently became a Daddy, so Congratulations!
I encourage you to browse around the new site and let me know if you catch any glitches or if there’s something you think I could add/change. I have a lot more freedom now that I am self hosting and since I LOVE getting feedback, let me know what you think!
Some NEW! Features:
1. I included my own personal struggle with weight in the above header section called My Journey. This was a difficult story to tell but I thought it was important for readers to know how I started.
2. PRINTER FRIENDLY PAGES! Yes, you can now PRINT my recipes or any other posts. There is a “PRINT” button at the bottom of each entry!
3. I still have my Q + A section but I added some color, making it is easier to distinguish between questions and answers.
4. I made the text background white, so it’s easier to see where to click on links, etc.
5. You can now subscribe to comments or posts.
6. The header changes to 4 different pictures!
Something I was excited about.
These are just some of the new features I added. I hope to continue to grow, learn, and make the site better! Anything you would like to see? Let me know! Thanks so much for your patience!

Hi Aryn, definitely working on it. I am just a little confused about how to do it but in the mean time you can subscribe to my posts so that they will go in your favorites on your web browser. Just click on the posts icon in the top right corner and subscribe! Hope this is a simple solution until I get the subscribe stuff figured out! Thanks!!
Erin – I used to get updates by e-mail to your daily postings. Since you’re back up and running (which I’m so happy about!!!) I haven’t been getting the usual daily updates each time you post.
Is this feature still possible? I just love opening my e-mail to find one of your updated posts or recipes!
Thanks!
Thanks Jac!
Erin this is GREAT!! Awesome job!! : o )
