  • Oh, I’d LOVE a magic bullet!

    I call this my Lemon-Mint Fro-yo:

1-6 oz. container of plain Greek Yogurt, 1/4 cup of frozen rasperries, zest from a 1/4 of a lemon, a sprig of spearmint leaves from my windowsill, and blended with an immersion blender. I’d have used a Magic Bullet, but alas, I don’t have one ;-)

You can eat this cool, citrusy treat as-is, or freeze for a yummy frozen treat!

  • What an awesome giveaway!!!! Here is my recipe:

    The honey berry monster
    - 2 cups spinach
    - 1/2 cup almond milk (unsweetened)
    - 1/2 cup strawberries
    - 1/2 cup blueberries
    - 1 tbs cocoa powder (I use trader joe’s)
    - 1/2 cup ice & 1/2 cup water
    - 1 tbs honey

Throw all into a blender and blend away! I love topping it with homemade granola. YUM!!

My youngest cannot eat dairy so i love to make smoothies in the morning for my boys. My recipe is so easy:

container of soy yogurt (or two if they are small – 4 oz for example)
cup of frozen berries (either mixed or just strawberry)
    whole banana
scoop of hemp protein powder (my favorite b/c it contains no whey and is high in protein)
splash of cold pressed cod liver oil (kids don’t even know its there and it adds some fat and omegas)

Blend on high speed. Add a splash of non dairy milk if it is too thick or a cup of ice if it is too thin.

    - 1 tsp xanthan gum
    - 1/2 tsp vanilla
