    Love this giveaway!
…and reading all of those yummy smoothie recipes :)

my go-to recipe is similar to a few of the banana + chocolate protein powder/amazing meal recipes up there, so how about a different one? it’s not my everyday smoothie, but when I want something different I use this:

    1c. unsweetened vanilla almond milk
2c. spinach (raw or steamed and cooled)
    1/2 frozen banana
2T almond butter (or any nut butter)
1 scoop berry flavored Daily Greens powder (or 1/2 c. fresh or frozen berries)
    1/8 tsp. xanathan gum
    1/8 tsp. guar gum
** gums are optional, but make the smoothie really frothy and smoooooth!
    ice and water as necessary

just blend it all up – tastes like a PB&J!

  • 1 c. hemp milk
    1 frozen banana
    1/2 c. frozen blueberries
    1/4 c. frozen raspberries
    2 tbsp smooth peanut butter
    1 tbsp chia seeds

blend in the bullet until it’s perfect!

I’m literally drinking it as I type:

    1 cup fresh grapefruit juice
    juice of one lemon
    2 limes, skin, pith removed
    1 cucumber
    Bee pollen
    Squeeze of agave
    1 bunch cilantro
    1 bunch kale

    Blend.

  • Lindsey

    Add to blender, in order:

    2 cups fresh baby spinach
    1 cup frozen cherries
1 Tablespoon Hershey’s unsweetened cocoa powder
1 scoop Jillian Michaels whey protein powder (triple chocolate)
    1 teaspoon olive oil
    1 cup skim milk

The frozen fruit acts as your “ice” without watering the smoothie down. This smoothie knocks out 3 servings of vegetables, 1 serving of dairy, 1 healthy oil and provides lean protein for sustained energy and muscle building/recovery.

    1 banana
    1 cup of (cooked) spinach
    1 banana
    1/3 cup of blueberries
    1 tablespoon of chia seeds
    1 cup almond milk
    Ice

    Enjoy!

    What a great contest.
I made this up after my honeymoon to Hawaii

    Kauai Smoothie
1 cup of fat-free vanilla yogurt
1/2 cup crushed pineapple or pineapple chunks
1 tablespoon of macadamia nut butter or 1 to two tablespoons of crushed or food-processed macademia nuts
    1/2 frozen banana
    1/2 cup soy milk
1/2 cup water (if you want it thick-omit)
If you want some veg action, add a large handful of baby spinach since you can’t taste it.
    Blend well
    Enjoy!

  • Interesting, your’s is the second site today that I’ve visited with this opportunity. I’ll keep an eye on it.

Hi. My go to smoothie is
    1 frozen banana
    2 cups spinach
    1 cup pineapple
1/2 cup of Vanilla Almond Breeze
1/2 scoop of Vanilla Protein Powder.

Blend and enjoy. Tastes like a creamy tropical drink.

  • jennie

    1/2 avocado
    1 cup milk
Ice cubes, the more = thicker/crunchier (just how I like them)
    Splenda

    MMMMMMmmmmmMMM!!!!

  • Christina

    1/2 cup Vanilla Almond Milk
    1/2 cup orange juice
    1 tsp ground flax seed
    1/2 cup non-fat yogurt
    4 fresh strawberries
    1/2 banana
    small handful of baby spinach

I play around with the recipe each time, sometimes using frozen peaches instead of bananas or a different kind of berry, but the above is the one I made today. I think it’s a keeper.

  • [...] Magic Blender Bullet | The Healthy Apron [...]

  • Nice giveaway. I don’t currently have a blender.
But I think this would be nice:
    1 cup vanilla hemp milk + 1-2 TBSPs nut butter + 1 TB cocoa powder + 1 TB flaxseed + 1 banana + 1/2 cup berries + 1/2 – 1 TB coconut oil + oats (1/2 cup?).

That is off top of my head…possibilities are endless I would assume.
I am not a huge smoothie person…but I am sure they are fine on occasion!

  • Alisa Vance

Because my favorite combination in all the world is chocolate and banana, I mixed:
    1 banana
    1 cup almond milk
    1 scoop chocolate Amazing Meal
1 scoop almond butter or peanut butter

Mix and enjoy. I’ve also added a scoop of flax seed and it tasted just as tasty.
    Thanks for having this giveaway.

  • Ooh, I want!!

I made this one a few days ago. It’s healthy, but uses a protein powder (which people may or may not like). If you don’t want to use a flavored protein powder, you could add vanilla yogurt and a tiny bit of sugar, instead!

    Chia Vanilla Green Tea Smoothie!
1/2 scoop syntha-6 vanilla protein powder (or protein powder of choice)
    15g Chia seeds
    1/2 tsp green tea powder
    5 oz water
    3 cubes ice

  • Jill

Yum! Green smoothies are my favorite start to the day!

    1 banana, sliced
1 cup frozen pineapple, peach & mango
    2 tbsp raspberry kefir
    1 tbsp chia seeds
    dash stevia, ginger & cinnamon
    2 cups baby spinach

Blend everything but the spinach until smooth. Then add the spinach and blend til completely smooth.

    Hope you enjoy!

I dream of a magic bullet! I am using my Cuisinart for my green monsters.
    frozen pineapple (big handful)
    spinach
    maca
    amazing meal
    H20
    chia seeds
    sometimes a squirt of lemon
    thanks, Lisa

  • in a magic bullet sized blender put:
    - 1/2 cup – 1 cup (depending on taste) frozen mangoes
    - 1 tbsp chia seeds
    - 1/2 cup – 1 cup OJ (depending on how thick you like it)
    - 1/2 cup pasteurized egg whites
    - stuff the rest of the space with spinach leaves (approx 2 Cups)

This can also be done with the addition of protein powder instead of egg whites but you might need to increase the juice or add in some water

    Tropic and Delicious!

  • Brittany

The Dessert-For-Dinner Green Monster recipe (for when you need something quite healthy, very filling, and absolutely decadent):

    - 1 heaping tbsp cocoa powder
    - 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
    - 1 tbsp pure maple syrup
    - 1/4 of a large avocado

    - cinnamon to taste (I like to use quite a bit)
    - 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  • Okay…I’ve been eyeing the Magic Bullet for some time now. Here’s my recipe for a Blue Raz Smoothie: http://thechattymom.com/2010/04/26/blue-raz-smoothie/

Thanks for the opportunity to possibly get my hands on this blender wonder! :)

  • I’ve only ever made smoothies with mixed fruit and yogurt. I really want to try some with spinach, but I don’t have a blender anymore. So if I win, that will be my first creation!

  • Kristen

I, Kristen Giacobbe, would make magic every day with the Magic Bullet! My most favorite smoothie recipe would be the banana soft serve… throw in sliced frozen bananas (a whole banana) and add any flavoring such as cinnamon, protein powder, nut butters, honey or cocoa powder and blend until smooth and thick… it tastes just like ice cream but without dairy that anyone can enjoy! =)

  • Can’t say I’ve made any smoothies lately…cuz I don’t have anything to make them in. ;) So, I did a lil research and found this recipe. http://tinyurl.com/2g4byl9 Looks super easy, tasty, AND lots of antioxidants! Thanks, for the opportunity!
