Cinco De Mayo!

HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO!! I have a major craving for guacamole that’s been building ever since I read this recipe from Nancy at Spicie Foodie, earlier in the week. YUM!! Thanks for sharing Nancy!! Your pictures are drool worthy!

In my opinion, guacamole makes any Mexican recipe better.  I would love to make some tonight but that would require me to stop at the grocery store on my way home. NIGHTMARE!

I usually like to celebrate this day, but since it’s mid-week for us work folk, that doesn’t typically translate in to a riveting night on the town. Ah yes, this is what  it means to have a “9-5.” I just turned 26 and I am *gulp* responsible!!!

Just so the night isn’t totally lost, I suppose we COULD go get some ice cream.  I know that has nothing to do with May 5th, BUT it sounds good doesn’t it?? Plus, my idea of a good time is listening to the latest high school drama and picking fights when we finally realize that the line isn’t moving because those same high school kids keep letting new friends slip in to line. On second thought, maybe we won’t go.   Has this ever happened to anyone else? Why don’t they have line police!!

Alright well I am off!! Stop back later, as I will have a post up about a new diet fad that involves hormone injections! Intrigued!!???

What is your favorite Mexican Dish???

  • I love Mexican food and will have to go with a quesadilla on this one. I think it is so versatile!

  • Great information! I’ve been looking for something like this for a while now. Thanks!

  • Hey there! Thanks for your thoughts on A Spicy Perspective. If you do get the urge to try the mussels, this is a good starter recipe. The flavors are so bold, it sort-of keeps you sidetracked from the texture.

As far as Mexican goes, I’m a stuffed poblano and mole’ kind of girl!

    Have a great day!

  • Yeah! I love Mexican food. I grew up in Houston Texas and was exposed to some fabulous dishes! But my favorite, by far, has to be a simple platter of fajitas. Yum!
