Erin at Healthy Apron has been such a joy to follow. I have learned many vaulable things from the “Your Best Self Program.” With the conversations around bettering your body and the buzz that is following Operation Beautiful, it’s important to realize what makes YOU happy. Happiness can be found in the dozen different nooks and crannies of life.

People who “put it all out there” are beautiful and scream confidence. From those that are taking the first steps from walking to running, to those that are rock climbing outdoors, beauty comes from pushing your own body to try new things.
If you never take that leap of faith to get out there and do something, you never have the chance for your body to feel that rush that can only come when you’re attempting something for the first time. It is OK to fail or misstep when you’re doing a new thing, I know it’s hard to admit we can’t do something well – that’s why we don’t do it in the first place! Beauty is about loving imperfections.
When my friends phone to tell me they’ve run their first race or are doing things like Jiu-Jitsu, I realize how many things are out there in life for us to attempt. You gotta have the faith in yourself and the willingness to get out and try.
I am the most uncordinated person and have been dabbling in yoga. During a class of 50+ people I ended up on the end of the row. We were asked to do a pose and I was turned away from the group so I couldn’t see what the instructor was doing. When we went to repeat the move on the opposite side, I realized I was completely backwards. There I was, “warrior-ing” the wrong way waving to everyone looking at me. I could have turned around, but sometimes you have to go with it.
Whether your facing 100 people the wrong way, or facing yourself, know that something beautiful is out there waiting for you to try. Put aside the ego and have the childlike sense to be brave and just do it. You don’t have to conquer everything, you have to put up a good fight.

such a perfect blog name too! live for the run!!
im definitely keeping that advice with me of knowing that there is something beautiful out there waiting for me. if anyone has tried thinking this in a moment of frustration or stress, they know how calming it is. sometimes people say’ just breathe’ but it doesnt work! but visualizing and believing that there WILL be great things coming can really force your mind to pause and relax. its amazing!

Awesome post! I adored that last sentence: You don’t have to conquer everything, you have to put up a good fight.
Awesome post!! I was just thinking about this the other day.
You get so lost if you aren’t doing what you love. I am feeling that right now, but every day I am getting closer to doing those things again!!
Thanks for a lovely post! Going to check out your blog now too!
Love your guest post! And I love doing new things and seeing what I can do. It’s always a bit nerve wracking but so amazing at the same time.
love the post! btw, have i mentioned you have gorgeous hair!?
I love this post…believe it or not, I am always reluctant to try new things because I always feel that I am expected to succeed and do really well because of my physical fitness background…and am always afraid I am not going to live up to expectations. But I find, even with yoga, that I was always terrible, with practice, I have gotten better, and if I fall down trying to do half moon pose…I giggle it off and pick myself back up!! It always feels good to know you at least tried!!
