We are more than halfway through the month of January! This is either the point where people start seeing some progress on their weight-loss or work out efforts OR they are already going back on their New Year’s resolutions and giving up.
If you are continuing to make progress, FABULOUS!! Keep it up!!!However, if you find yourself recessing back to unhealthier habits; binging, negative self-talk, restricting, skipping work outs or working out too much, then this post is for you!
POSITIVITY!
I want everyone to understand the power of positivity! A few encouraging words can go a long way when you are trying to make healthy life changes. Think about it; constantly talking down to yourself or others is a breeding ground for MORE negativity!! Those negative vibes are contagious! Make an effort to be POSITIVE!
Try to find the bright side to everyone and everything! I know it can be difficult at times but trust me; your days will go a lot better once you stop hating on yourself and others. Haven’t you ever noticed that those who seem the happiest with their lives are generally ALWAYS looking at the glass as half full? Try it! It makes a difference!
Start each day reflecting on ALL the positives in your life; embracing the beauty of YOURSELF, the physical joy of being active, and the love you feel from family and friends! You are the only one in control of all aspects of your life, so steer yourself in a POSITIVE direction!
I truly want you to feel great no matter if you went back on your New Year’s resolution or not. Starting a healthier lifestyle doesn’t have to start at the beginning of the New Year, the new week, or a new month. START TODAY just by being POSITIVE!
If you woke up and the first thing that popped out of your mouth was a negative comment, I want you to stop NOW! Go back and reflect on that statement and CHANGE it for the better! Try to imagine yourself spreading positivity to others! Just think; YOU could be the inspiration for someone else to live well!
Have a POSITIVE day!
QUESTION: How do you remain positive when life goes awry?

Oh yes…the importance of positivity! I’ve been noticing how I let my mind wander to negative and depressing thoughts. When this happens, my energy and motivation plummets. So I’ve been trying to start each day, each hour with a tiny moment of thankfulness. I have so many blessings in my life, and I need to celebrate all the joy that this life has given to me. One of the many things I’m thankful for? You!
I love the positive messages- thanks!

I always try to remember all of my blessing and look for the good.
Everything is in our heads — this is uber important! totally agree =)
You know what, you are totally right. It is so important to stay positive. One negative comment or thought can really turn your whole day around sometimes. It is important to not let that get you down. I love that middle quote..so true! Thanks for an inspriational post!
I always try to remind myself of all the wonderful blessings in my life… I’m so fortunate and am able to stay positive when things go crazy by reflecting on that
That Henry Ford quote is one of my favorites! SO SO SO true! I love your positivity post. I think people really need that this time of year!!!
When I’m feeling negative I read positive and motivational quotes!! it may sound cliche but I believe it helps
Love this! I did a post a while back on how positive thinking can really change the outcome of a situation-so I couldn’t agree more!!
This is exactly why I read your blog
I love your positivity!
This is exactly what I needed to read today!!! Thanks!! We have had so much going on in our lives sometimes you forget NOT to be negative. My hubby told me yesterday I need to be more positive. I am on it!
What an awesome post!! I love when people remind me to stay positive. It is so easy to slip into the negative these days, traffic (aka bad drivers – cuz I am an amazing driver), rude sales people, mean boss, stupid boyfriend, etc. (haha)
I try to be more positive these days as I have noticed I am more inclined to be pessimistic if I don’t make an effort not to be. I really like that Ford quote. I read it this morning in the book I am reading and thought about how there are so few things I can’t do but a lot of things I choose not to do. Thanks for the reminder to stay optimistic!
I’m a firm believer that for every bad thing there is a good, so I just tell myself that something awesome is coming my way!
Great post!!! I love being positive. When I start to have a bad day or get in a funk, I remind myself how LUCKY I am and of all the blessings I have in my life. Don’t feel like going to work? There are tons of people without jobs that would trade places with me. Feel blah about the gym? I have an able body that allows me to run and lift. Cranky in general? I have a husband, friends and family that love me. Everyone has something to be thankful for, we should embrace it more often!
I love the quote by Henry Ford! So very true. Thanks for sharing this.
I stay positive by taking time to reflect on all the good in my life. There’s so much of it that it’s hard to be down.
It’s so important to have a positive outlook!! Of course, it’s good to be grounded and realistic at times..but having a downer attitude is never good. I love the quote “Make it a great day or not, the choice is yours.” It’s so true.
I love this post. I am always trying to remain positive I usually try to have positive self talk when things are going wrong.
Thanks for this positive message! I try to encourage friends to come running with me or go to the gym. It helps me stay motivated & positive while working out and encourages others.
Great post Erin!! I think positivity is key. When life gets a little crazy I try to remember that there are worse things that could happen, and I try to put things in perspective which makes me realize that in the grand scheme of things, one little thing that I’m upset about probably isn’t the end of the world. Have a great day!
Love it!
Thank you so much for this post! Just what I needed to see this morning!!
