In a couple months, Brandon and I will be traveling to Hawaii (the big island)!!! We wanted to go for our honeymoon, but due to the wedding budget (that we definitely did not adhere to and believe me I heard it from my Dad!!), Hawaii wasn’t in the cards for our honeymoon.
Are we excited, holy moly…YES. Are we ready for another adventure? You betcha!! Are we ready to bare our pasty white neon bodies in bathing suits? Eh….not quite.
I’m mentioning this today because I’m going to need some guest posters. Since we’ll be gone for 10 days, I’m going to need some friends (blogger or not) to fill in the gaps. If you are interested, shoot me an email or leave a comment and I’ll give you dates!
Hope every one is having a good week so far!! Sorry this is a bit of an “off” blogging week. I just don’t have time to devote to any solid information! Bare with me though, I’ll try to give you something every day this week!
Question: Have you been to Hawaii? Any recommendations for special places to go or eat?

Hi Erin,
Hawaii is so on my bucket list! Hope you’ll take some pics and share them with us! I just set up my blog yesterday, still tweaking it so no posts as of yet. I would love to be a guest on your blog if you still have openeings! Have a great time in Hawaii and I know we all look forward to hearing of your adventures there.
My hubby and I are dying to go to Hawaii and we were supposed to go on our honeymoon but we had the whole budget issue too. What islands are you going to and are you booking in through a travel agent? Let me know if you have any good pointers to go to Hawaii for cheap. Hope you and Brandon have fun!
I would absolutely love to do a guest post for you if you still have some days to fill! I promise to make the Healthy Apron proud!
I’m here in Kauai as we speak on vacation. Amazing and beautiful and fun! Shameless plug for the book “Kauai Revealed”. Recommended by a friend at work and the book is fabulous. Tells you about all the beaches, restaurants, places to stay and things to do. Even provides lots of little “secret” places off the beaten path. Well worth it!
We wanted to go to Kauai on our honeymoon but couldn’t fit it in the budget either! It’s still on my list of places to visit. I hope you have an absolute blast!
So jealous! I went to Hawaii when I was 4- my cousins used to live there. I hardly remember it!
Takes me back to my honeymoon, a loooooong time ago. Same state, different island. I’m sure you will have a wonderful time. I remember a drink called The Blue Hawaii…. blue, tasty, and packed a punch. If you need a guest blogger I would be happy to contribute, but also won’t be offended if you’re booked up.
that is so exciting!!! i’ve only been to Hawaii’s airport…at like 1 in the morning so we didn’t see much. it’s on the to do list though!:)
i’d be happy to do a recipe post for you if you need one
I am super jealous!! I keep telling myself that one day me and the hubby will slip away to somewhere warm and beautiful! I would love to guest post for you!
Oooh Hawaii sounds so fabulous!
I am super jealous!! Hawaii looks beautiful!
Ah, I’ve never been to Hawaii–but the bf has and it’s one of his favorite places on earth!!! I’d definitely do a guest post for ya!
How much fun! Take lots of pictures! I have only been to Hawaii once when I was around 8 years old. I would love to go back now that I am older.
I would love to do a guest post! I will have to send you an email.
Ohhh I am so JEALOUS!! I want to go to Hawaii SO SO SO bad!!! I’m so excited for you though. I will live vicariously through you
We had a low budget for our honeymoon too. We did Puerto Rico. Was nice, but not Hawaii!!! I hear such amazing things!!!
I would love to guest blog for you! I’ve never been to Hawaii but I am dying to go. You’re going to have so much fun.
Hawaii sounds like SO much fun! I hope to go there sooner of later.
You are going to ahve such a blast! Hawaii is the epitome of beauty and serenity!
I recommend trying the roadside places for coffee/eats — they tend to be the best!
I’m happy to guest post too!
Those gorgeous pictures are torturing me, as I sit in my house, looking at the foot of snow outside! Haha
My uncle lives in Maui, so I’m pretty familiar with the island…If that’s where you’re going, let me know, and I’ll give you tons of recommendations! But no matter which island you’re visiting, DEFINITELY treat yourself to macadamia nut-crusted mahi mahi. It’s to die for! I always order it multiple times while I’m there (most restaurants offer some variation)…And enjoy TONS of fresh pineapple!
That will be so much fun! The heat and sun sounds so good. I’d love to do a guest post for ya girl.
Awesome! I hope you have an amazing time!!!!!!!!! I could do a guest post, if you wanted me to! =D
White islands are you going to?
I LOVED it there…
I am MORE than willing to blog for you while you enjoy paradise!!!
I’ve been to Oahu and Kaui and loved both! Unfortunately, I was younger and dont remember many restaurants! have fun!
