Morning friends! Today I wanted to share a few more things that I am lovin’ this week!
1. DEXTER! Ever since the end of LOST, I have felt “LOST” in the TV series department. Sure, we tried our hand at a few other series; Weeds, Big Love, but neither of these shows sparked a DEEP need to keep watching. Then we heard about a hunky serial killer named Dexter and haven’t looked back since. If you are not hooked yet, go to your local library and rent the first season. You WILL be hooked. We just finished season 3 and I cannot wait to get my hands on season 4!! It is such an awesome series!! I’m LOVIN’ IT!
2. Zukay Sweet Onion Basil Salad Dressing.
A few weeks ago I was contacted by Zukay, a non-dairy probiotic food company, because they wanted to send me some samples of their products. I was immediately intrigued. Zukay products are sourced as locally as possible through family farms (reducing their carbon footprint) and are 100% natural (with no chemicals, preservatives, or artificial colors or flavors). If you want to learn more about the Zukay company, go to their website now!! They offer salad dressings, juices, salsas, and relishes! I received a sampling of their salad dressing and juices! I sampled the Sweet Onion Basil salad dressing last night and it puts other store bought salad dressings to shame! For starters, the ingredient list is marvelous; organic sweet onion, water, organic turnip, organic garlic, celtic sea salt, basil, pepper, live active cultures. This combination of flavors offers a dressing with a mild sweetness (almost lemon-y) and a captivating aroma. It pairs perfectly with a wide assortment of veggies. With only 5 calories per 2 tablespoons, it’s perfect for the calorie conscious as well! I’m LOVIN’ IT!!
3. Prevention RD Blog. If you have yet to visit Nicole’s website… you MUST! Nicole is a fellow RD who mostly blogs about her latest cooking or baking adventures. Nicole always puts a healthy spin on your favorite, familiar recipes! I’ve snagged several recipes from her website and not one has failed my taste buds yet! She is easy to read, fun to follow, and an excellent cook! Keep it up Nicole! I’m LOVIN’ IT!
4. NEW BABY ELEPHANT AT THE TOLEDO ZOO! I’m a sucker for animals! I’m LOVIN’ IT!

haven’t tried dexter, but my friend has season one on dvd, so i can borrow it any time! i love watching shows where you can watch one episode after the next – i totally get obsessed and hooked!
Dexter is awesome! It’s embarrassing how many episodes we can watch in a week when we get it on Netflix. Love the baby elephant! We had one at the Seattle zoo some years ago and she was adorable to watch play.
We are almost done with season 2 of dexter, love it!
And the kids are at the zoo today with grandma to see the new baby elephant! I am jealous~
Just checked out Nicole’s blog, thanks for the tip. That elephant is so cute, I obsessed over baby snow leopards at the Central Park Zoo a couple summers ago. Amazing to see.
i SO agree about Dexter!!! It’s my obsession!! I can not WAIT for the new season! The past season was one of the best, you will love it!
We watched LOST after it was like 4 seasons in one summer. One day Michael and I watched 13 episodes. We are not proud of it, but it was SO addicting. Best summer of my life
LOVE DEXTER!!!! It gives me chest pain when I watch it. And I am completely serious, I get so tensed up!!
We just finished watching all the seasons of Weeds on Netflix and have a big gaping hole in our tv addiction. We tried Californication and Arrested Development, but neither one of those sucked us in like Weeds. Thanks to you, Dexter is now next on that list. I had browsed past it befor, but now i’m intrigued!
Everyone loves Dexter… I must jump on the bandwagon.
5 calories for 2 tbsps of dressing!? sign me up
Everyone says that about Dexter! I must check it out. Love the energy in this post! Cute baby elephant, too!!!
AWWWWEEEEE!!!!! The baby elephant is so CUTE!!!
I wish we had a baby elephant at my zoo…..
I didn’t love Dexter when I watched the first season but I may give season 2 a second chance.
And aren’baby animals the cutest. I have always been a little torn on how I feel about animals in captivity but there is no denying that they are super adorable to look at!!
That dressing sounds awesome!! I have yet to watch dexter, but now I really think I should
Elephants are my favorite!! I haven’t gotten into Dexter yet, but one of my good friends highly recommends it. I’ve got to put it on my list
The baby elephant is adorable! My husband says Dexter is the best show on TV, but it’s not my kinda TV so he watches by himself.
Dexer is one of my absolute favorite tv shows EVAH! agreed! =) and that dressing sound awesome! I haven’t seen it near me though!
Dexter is amazing!
Thank you! I am beyond flattered!
Right back ‘atcha, girl!!
I am yet to see Dexter…but with all the raves, I know I’ll love it. That would be a good thing to get into this summer while there’s nothing else on TV!
Aren’t library DVD rentals the best!? I rented the True Blood seasons over the winter and am totally addicted and can’t wait for season 4 to start next weekend! I’m pretty sure they have Dexter too, so I just might have to start that series next.
I love Dexter! Great minds think alike. Oh, and your salad looks pretty awesome.
I am obsessed with Dexter! I can’t wait for the new season! That and True Blood are my faves!
I couldn’t really get into LOST but then that was the first series, I haven’t seen any of the newer ones… Boardwalk Empire’s great if your looking for new TV material… and just started Californication so not sure about it yet. Will try Dexter next!
I love Dexter! I became obsessed and went through all 5 seasons in like a month or two this spring.
I’ve never seen Dexter, but am definitely interested in watching it!!!
We’re ingrossed in LOST right now on Netflix! At the end of season 4. I have a feeling it’s going to be one of those shows though that ends with absolutely no clarity and I’m going to start throwing things at the TV screen for wasting the last 4 months of my life!
I love Dexter too! The dressing looks delicious… I love anything natural and full of probiotics!
