While I’m working on a post about how to pick a quality supplement, I decided to share a fun summer recipe! I know that most of my super health nut readers may have already clicked away, but for everyone else…this recipe is for you!
I was introduced to buffalo chicken dip several years ago and while I have never been any type of wing person, I thought this recipe was a gem! It is easy make, simple to bring along to a potluck, and ALWAYS a crowd pleaser. While not the healthiest dip, it sure is the tastiest!!
Without further adieu………..
Buffalo Chicken Dip
- 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, shredded
- 2 (8 0z) packages reduced fat cream cheese
- 1/3-1/2 cup Frank’s Red Hot
Optional add-ins:
- 1/2 cup Ranch dressing
- 1 cup of shredded cheddar or Monteray Jack cheeses
- Green onions for garnish
Directions:
Cook chicken in a skillet until cooked through. Shred.
In a large skillet add shredded chicken and cream cheese. Stir until smooth. Add in Frank’s Red Hot (more or less to taste!) and any additional add-in’s like ranch or shredded cheddar (We don’t think it needs anything more). Combine until well blended.
Serve immediately or add to the slow cooker and bring a long to your next potluck!

One of my fave dips of all time. YUM!
Thanks for the link love! I like buffalo chicken dip…a lot, but not like my husband. OH MY GOSH. That man is just insane over this stuff. It’s nicknames “Crack Dip” for a reason, I guess! I wish it weren’t so high in sodium and that it had SOME nutritional perks…not so much! LOL! But you could do a lot worse, too. Like you said, not the best, not the worst…and always a crowd pleaser!
hahaha…Michael is “over the shoulder” blog reading right now and I pulled up your post and he’s like “that looks SOOO good, what’s in it?” “It’s probably so bad for you, huh?” I said, not too bad there, Michael….you could have it, honey
He’s trying to watch what he eats and has lost like 8 pounds already and is hungry all the time though hahaha….drooling over blogs tonight and begging me to make him cookies, but I won’t bc of OPBB haha
This looks delicious! I love the recipe!
I have never tried buffalo chicken dip before but I can’t see why I wouldn’t love it! It looks so good!
This looks so delish! I’m sure I could eat it with a spoon!
This dip looks so good. I really want to try it, I just need to remember to buy some chicken.
I would never click away from a post with this title! Yum. I’m actually a bit of a dip fiend…My refrigerator is always stocked with hummus, tzatziki (sp?), guacamole etc etc., so new ideas are more than welcome! Thanks for sharing, Erin! Hope you’re having a fantastic Monday!
i LOVE buffalo chicken dip… its always a hit at a party!!
I think it is a lot healthier than a lot of dips out there! Perfect with celery sticks!
YUM! That looks amazing. Though I totally would’ve dipped chips in it rather than celery. Haha.
i’ve seen so many buffalo chicken recipes lately, I am seriously craving it now.
This sounds delicious. I’ve heard of buffalo dip but never had\made it! This would be great recipe for a large crowd~
My friend D said she almost made this dip for the bbq we were at last week. I was said that she didn’t…
Buffalo chicken is one of my favorite things!
Mmmm looks so good! Would be a total crowd pleaser i’m sure
This dip looks great! I think I remember seeing this on Nicole’s blog.
I am going to have make this soon!
This looks great! And don’t you find that the most unhealthy dips are always the best!? I have a slight (full blown, raging) addiction to spinach and artichoke dip… I don’t even want to attempt to healthify it as in my eyes that would be absolute blasphemy! Some things are just meant to be full fat!
