In light of my “Is It Healthy” post yesterday, I thought I would share a recipe I was DROOLING over this week! I swear, sometimes it’s better NOT to visit Jessica’s blog, especially when you are hungry! Anyway, this is such a clever recipe and definitely a cute one to share at the next brunch you decide to host! I can’t wait to give it a try! I’m LOVIN’ it!!

2. Grilled Vegetable Pizza.

I love Ree and even though her recipes don’t quite meet the ideal nutritional profile, I don’t care. In fact, every now and then she blogs about a recipe that is easy to alter and make your own. Take this grilled vegetable pizza for instance! This recipe caught my eye the other day and I just had to share it! You can easily make the crust whole wheat or use less cheese…but those grilled veggies; don’t they look divine!? I’m LOVIN’ it!!!!!!

3. Baked Blueberry Glazed Donuts.

After spotting these over at The Healthy Diaries this morning, I knew I had to share with my blog! I know how much you all loved those Apple Cinnamon Baked Donuts I made…now it’s time to give THESE puppies a try! PERFECT for the summer season! I’m LOVIN’ it!!

4.  “To Weigh or Not to Weigh” Post at Run with Sneakers.

Just this morning I was reading Liz’s blog. She briefly mentioned her own distorted “relationship” with the scale, but then discussed how uncomfortable it can be for girls’ AND boys’ as young as 4th grade to be publicly weighed IN schools. She discusses how anxious and nervous they become to step on that scale in front of their peers. Liz states:

“Weight is one measure of health, right?  Is it helpful or hurtful to weigh kids in school?  Are these fitness tests and  “weigh ins” helpful or hurtful if public school are being forced to cut back on PE and nutrition programs due to budget cuts?” ME: I believe the fitness tests and public weigh-ins may set children up for feelings of inadequacy. They each grow, mature, and evolve at much different levels. It may be difficult for some children to understand why one child may be bigger or smaller than the other or more physically fit. This could lead to ridicule and judgement that could scar such a young child for life! I think it would be much more healthy to engage kids in PE daily and offer nutrition classes at least once a week!  I’m LOVIN’ this topic of coversation! What are YOUR thoughts!? Check out her post now!! Click HERE.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
