Share YOUR Scale Relationship (Series)

Morning and Happy Friday! I hope you are all as excited for the weekend as I am! Today I have yet another installment for my “Share YOUR Scale Relationship (Series) from Heather! So without further adieu…

Hi all!!  I’m Heather from Get Healthy with Heather, where I blog about my healthy, budget friendly recipes, fun workouts (yes super super fun!), teaching group fitness, brewing beer… my animals, and a whole slew of things.

I am very excited to be a part of Erin’s Scale Relationship series and absolutely love Erin’s enthusiasm about ditching the scale.  Her confidence and happiness is so inspiring!

Although I didn’t technically take part in her no scale challenge, I’ve made it part of my life to live without it… at least most of the time.

It seems to me that, especially women, place too much power in the scale.  It can change a great day in to a gloomy one in just seconds.

I’m at a healthy weight, exercise regularly and eat well, so why do I need to have a scale tell me how to feel?

I sure don’t!  Life without a scale definitely makes me feel better about my body, which in turn gives me more confidence; confidence to do the things I love, like teaching group fitness classes.  Teaching group fitness makes me smile, which then gives me more confidence.

See the awesome circle building?

I do still have a scale in my house and there are random times when I hop on.  Usually nothing has changed, but there have been a few times I’ve been up a few pounds and the gloom sets in.  That’s why I say no to the scale!  It’s just a number and a number doesn’t bring me happiness.

Life brings me happiness.

Erin, thank you so much for letting me share with you + your readers.  You are an empowering woman and helping them gain more confidence… always a good thing!

If you’d like to read more thoughts on this subject feel free to check out a couple of my past posts…

I’d love for you to stop by Get Healthy with Heather and say hey.  New friends are awesome and very, very welcome!

Heather
